Color training course description:
This two-day, hands-on Color training course will familiarise students with Apple's masterful new colour grading and finishing software. Start with the basics of colour balancing and correction, and move on to the fine points of secondary grading, including scene matching, using vignettes to isolate and track regions, creating advanced colour effects and "looks", skin tone adjustments, adjusting the composition and framing of a shot, and much more.
This 1-day Color grading training course will give established FCP editors with a limited knowledge of online and finishing techniques the opportunity to learn key techniques to improve ʻthe lookʼ and output quality of their programs and VTs ready for transmission. In an ever-more quick turnaround environment and in an industry where editors are under increased pressure to understand grading, graphic design and sound, this course will offer a template of easy to follow solutions to achieve beautifully finished images on screen. Your trainer will navigate you through the essential tools in FCP and Color (with a particular focus on Color) used to correct, improve and stylize images to give a professional look and feel for a variety of productions. The Color training course will be complemented by ʻMC Colorʼ hardware grading panels by Euphonix to give clients a taster of accelerated work-flows using control surfaces alongside the standard mouse and keyboard.
