On-site Training

Soho Editors Training provide training in our Central Manhattan premises, but are also able to run these courses at your own office, facility or home, anywhere in the world. This can prove cost-effective for companies outside of Manhattan who don't want to put their staff up in hotels for the duration of the training course. It could also be useful for busy people, where their preferred course is not running here at a time they are able to make. Maybe you feel that a one-on-one tutorial session could be useful, if so, off-site training could be the best solution for you.

The off-site training can take place if the hardware needed to run the programmes is present (our trainer will bring the training software with them), or we can provide a classroom in a box. As with the courses run here, we will provide all training materials, such as course books and media. The cost of off-site training varies depending on:

• Location
• Length of training time required
• Number of people being trained – we recommend a maximum of 6 trainees to 1 trainer
• Time spent travelling & Costs
  
• Equipment and training material requirements
• Accommodation for the trainer/s (if required)

Custom Training

There are a huge number of reasons why a custom training package may be more suitable for individuals or companies requirements. These could include:

• Task / workflow specific training needs
• Where a persons role only requires certain aspects of a particular system
• Training required on connectivity / workflow between systems
• Training on new versions of already adopted programs
• Refresher courses
• Training required for niche or older systems
• Creative as opposed to technical training

We are an entirely independent organization, with good relationships with the majority of manufacturers and software developers. So, in addition to the certified Apple and Adobe courses, we are able to, and do, provide training for most post-production platforms. Some of the manufacturers we are able to support include:

Avid, Maya, Autodesk, Media 100, Harris, Quantel, Digidesign, Alias Wavefront, AMS Neve, Maxon, Sony, Panasonic, Red

Our expertise and understanding of post-production technology and systems is unrivaled, and we have an expansive knowledge of what is needed to train people on effectively. Most importantly, through the enormous breadth of talent we have available through the agency, you can be assured of a skilled, experienced and knowledgeable training staff.

Wherever possible and/or relevant, we will use trainers that are certified by the relevant manufacturer, and run the certified courses for a given product. However, depending on your needs, this is not always suitable. A custom training program may be more appropriate.
